OK, I hear what you and Robert are saying, but in my experience those  
black micamolds are/go bad with such regularity that I usually just  
replace them all.  One exception is in the BC-654 where scads of them  
are used to bypass the low voltage filament circuits.  On the other  
hand, I'm selective with micas which seem to stand up well to old age  
as do certain metal can types such as those found in the BC-342/312  
and BC-348 radios.

Guess I'm kinda neutral on the color of replacement units......
