I do'nt recall ever seeing any production figures for the five variants
(including TCZ) but it is my understanding that there were no T-412/ART-13B's
built (from scratch). But rather were all converted from T-47A's by COMCO
under contract. Further, COMCO did not design the conversion kit. The
conversion was designed by Pan American World Airways, Inc apparently in late 1947
and early 1948. PanAm had Gables Engineering build conversion kits and
maybe do conversions of COL-52286 (ATC) and T-47's but the documents I have
don't give a clue as to how many. They may also have done a few T-47A's but a
different LOCAL-REMOTE switch wafer is required. The wafer is shown in the
instructions but not included in the standard CDA-T kit. I think I recall
(I once had a numbe of the kits and a lot of extra nameplates) a third name
on some of the plates (in addition to Gables and Comco).
