[Milsurplus] Trimmer Cap Problem

Hi,
I have experienced the same thing with the ones in the Navy RBM/RBS receiver.  A compression-fit sleeve fails, allowing the contact spring on the end of the shaft to push the shaft endwise, shorting the plates together.  I have been able to shift the shaft into the correct position and solder the no-longer-compression-fit sleeve into its proper position.
