You are lucky with paypal.

I bought some boatanchor stuff from a seller a few years back and he 
never shipped.  After going through their cumbersome do-it-yourself 
processes, it escalated to a full complaint.  The seller ended up 
canceling their acocunts at both ebay and paypal and both told me, 
sorry, you are out of luck, nothing they can do.  This guy ended up 
absconding with a large amount of money from many buyers.  (yes, I filed 
a police complaint, even though they told me there was little they could 
do as it was out of state)
