In the past couple of years I have come across three NOSB GN-58-A's with
one out of the four brushes swelled up and firmly stuck in the brush holder.
Initial sympton was that you couldn't turn the cranks. The first two were
the same brush (- LV). I haven't repaired the third one yet. Repair is
worse than in the typical dynamotor as you first have to remove the generator
from the case (2-3 hours if lucky). Then you're at the same starting point
you would be with most dynamotors. :-)
