If anyone is interested in a complete TBX-8 with the transceiver, accessory
box, correct key, calibrator, AC power supply for the receiver, Dynamotor
supply for the transmitter, all connecting cables, antenna in original bag,
original wood shelf, boxes and boxes of spare parts, and the original
manual, all in excellent condition, contact me off list.

It's got the covers, bags, calibrator and battery box. That alone is worth
something. radios are way more common than that stuff. Myself always
wondered if the TBX-8 was ever fielded? I know the TBX-4 and 6 were used a lot,
I use to own a TBX-6 and it was a fun little radio with the "34" tubes in
the receiver and the entire receiver drawing less than 20 mA but the TBX-8
is a completely different animal. Also think the TBX-8 used a common
microphone and not the weird high output microphone that you needed for the
earlier TBX radios.

It's been ham-hacked. An SO-239 has been installed, and there are empty
screw holes on the front. The nomenclature plate has been removed. No
telling what horrors await on the inside.
It could be a good parts set, I guess.
