It's got the covers, bags, calibrator and battery box. That alone is worth something. radios are way more common than that stuff. Myself always wondered if the TBX-8 was ever fielded? I know the TBX-4 and 6 were used a lot, I use to own a TBX-6 and it was a fun little radio with the "34" tubes in the receiver and the entire receiver drawing less than 20 mA but the TBX-8 is a completely different animal. Also think the TBX-8 used a common microphone and not the weird high output microphone that you needed for the earlier TBX radios.

It's been ham-hacked. An SO-239 has been installed, and there are empty
screw holes on the front. The nomenclature plate has been removed. No
telling what horrors await on the inside.
It could be a good parts set, I guess.
