I've got an original sitting here in excellent shape, waiting for the
right 51J-4 to wander past. Picked it up a few years back at the old
Hosstraders hamfest for $100. Even has the original feet.

Also have a heavy duty military cabinet with the recessed swinging
side handles and those wimpy, rounded corners you mention. Weighs
almost twice what the Collins cabinet weighs and is deep enough to
handle the R-390 family, SP-600, or the RA-17. It's got an old R-390
in it now. Got it at the same hamfest for $20-30 IIRC.

I took Rick's original question to be one of the correct cabinet for
the R-388/51J. There are numerous others that will work, of course.
