It's the DC power supply for the well-known RCA AVT-112 and AVR-20A
light aircraft HF transmitter and receiver. It also could power
the AVR-15 beacon band receiver, or the Setchell-Carlson Model 512
(a.k.a. R-76/ARR-13) beacon band receiver.

The AVT-112 and AVR-20 go back to pre-WWII days.

The AVA-126 is often the hardest part of this system to find. On
ebay they often bring well greater than $100, if it's complete and
in good condition.
