Singer-Metrics was in the test equipment business, and some of their product line went to Ailtech. You say a conical antenna. Is it a biconical dipole, or perhaps one half of same? Those were used on their NM-17/27/37/57/67 field strength meters. I can't access my OLD Tucker catalogs at the moment to confirm those model numbers.

Subject: [Milsurplus] Antenna name, info?

I have a conical antenna, appears to have been designed for aircraft, it is:

Empire
Antenna Cone
Model CO-205
Singer, The Singer Company Metrics Devision
Bridgeport, Conn., U.S.A.

I am guessing, based on a similar antenna that I have a frequency range of
roughly 300-600 MHz, but I am unable to find info on this model or photos of
similar antennas on the web.

Anyone have any info?

Kurt
