[Milsurplus] Case indenty

This was probably on here a while back, but I have lost it.  Can someone
advise as to what a CY-517/MRC-2 is for?

Also..... Anyone know Russian enough to translate some nomenclature on a
Russian surplus (a la Desert Storm) spare parts kit?  Looks like telephone
or teletype parts.  Don't know how to make Russian letters on keyboard.  Can
take a pix and email it for translation if that would work.
