I'm still looking for the "bed frame" vehicle NVIS antenna description and
other details in my archives. Incidentally, I just started to correspond
with the owner of a communications equipment and accessories manufacturing
company in the United Arab Emirates, he is Russian and most of his engineers
are Russians as well (they're there for advantageous tax status...). He is a
collector of WW2 and later Russian and German tube communications equipment
and he's trying to get me some Russian manuals for the RSB-5 aircraft
transmitter system (developed in "heavy" inspiration by the command-set
concept).
Look at the link http://tinyurl.com/65hlf8p for a modern, smart version of
the frame NVIS antenna concept they're manufacturing and marketing.
There is also a video of the operation of the antenna, with an on-the-air
ham QSO...
Further interesting videos from this company:

and part 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8D9LwhZErao&feature=related .
Not exactly boatanchor technology!
Hope to find my frame antenna material in the next few days...
