A quick perusal of the site for the ship didn't say which class. I would assume a Buckley Class but that may not be true.
Her number, DE-766, is exactly 100 from the U.S.S. Durik, DE-666, on which my mother's eldest brother was chief sonarman. Although the Durik didn't play an active role in the capture of the German submarine U-505, the ship did arrive within a couple of hours of the capture and escorted the submarine to Bermuda.

The Slater has had an interesting history; she was sold to the Greek Navy, which decided to scrap her after a while, so we (or some historical assn.) bought her back, and she's currently in Albany, NY, as a museum shop.
Have a look at <http://www.ussslater.org/>, which doesn't have these images in the tour, as near as I can tell.
