I often wonder the same.  A fellow has an item for sale for $200, says he 
knows nothing about it and appears to be missing some parts.  I, on the 
other hand, know quite a bit about it and recently bought six for $100 
delivered.  I offered him $30, he declined, said my offer was absurd and he 
could scrap it for that.  Really?  Why hasn't he in the two years the item 
has been up?  I replied I was being generous and that the average cost based 
on a recent sale I quoted was $16.60 delivered, new, complete.  He 
counter-offered with $199.99.  Ignorant?  Nah, he's just a greedy prick.
