[Milsurplus] [ARC5] another whatsit?

Ya might want to take another look at the second from top, "supersized" 
photo.  The dial is plainly calibrated 1000 to 3100 Mc (MHz). This 
nicely covers the "L" and "S" radar bands.

Interestingly, the unit seems to be of modular construction. Note the 
TN-56B/SPR-2 tag on the tuner section, and the AM-55/SPR-2 tag on the IF 
section. Makes one wonder if there were other modules that could be used 
with the power supply or "mainframe" section...

Being an old USAF radar type, I was never exposed to much of the Navy stuff.
