[Milsurplus] BC-348 coaxial input?

Why would a BC-348 ever need a coaxial input? No question about how good a receiver it is but almost if not every transmitter it was used with did not have coaxial connections for the receiver what would be the point? By the time coax was being used for radios like the ARC-38, 618S and later 618T the ARR-41 was used for a auxiliary receiver, don't know about the ARC-21 and its auxiliary receiver but would assume it was all coax for the antenna runs and just cannot imagine a BC-348 being used with any of these radios.
