But collectively we seem quite able to accept that if it worked and
was available, there's a good chance it got pressed into service. (o:

Add to it the photos on your site of the PB4Y-2 utilizing the ATC with
RAX receivers, the station I'm assembling. I'm no expert on aircraft,
but it would seem that this one came onto the scene sometime later
than the Cat and others, mid-late '44 I think.

That history (Knickebein, etc) has always been extremely fascinating
to me, including the stories of the Brits scarfing up every S-27 they
could find to combat the beams. I credit it with restoring or
revitalizing my interest in this equipment many years ago, now.

The more you research, the easier it becomes to accept things outside
the perceived rigid framework and timelines of the military branches.
And the more intriguing it all becomes!
