In the document "Second World War Canadian Army Signal Intelligence
Experiences of Major R.S. Grant" Captain Norman Weir writes that the
Canadian "Y" service was used to monitoring the conventional German
forces in the 1.5-4 Mc range.
When the German paratroopers showed up on the front they were found to
be using 28-30 Mc. There was a scramble to obtain receivers that could
tune that range.
