3 items 3:
1- I have an APN-1 with a microphone and headphone jack, and maybe even a
"VOLUME"
knob, given to me by Brad Whiting. ( Among actual tons of other stuff given
me also...)
because he knows I feel sorry for some of these odd ducks. I have not
explored it farther.
I'm sure it puts out a wonderful signal and would be right at home on 420
Mcs.
2- "number of children", not "amount of children". Once you start noticing
this common
usage, "amount" for "number", you notice how often it is misstated by even
trained public speakers. ( sorry. )
3- Many decry the forgetting of the sacrifice of our servicepeople in our
defense. I suggest we also
remember those who were "written off" and forgotten after the hot wars were
over, by a
forgetful government, or as sacrifices in a larger game. Or disrespected by
lenient treatment
given to their torturers and murderers, all in the name of the same bigger
game. You can probably
think of examples on your own, without me citing some.
One of the first things I read in my childhood, a newspaper article on the
shooting down of an offcourse USAF
recon plane over Armenia, and the I recall the intercepted words of the
fighter pilots.
Let's not forget.
