Hi All,
I am in the final stages of finishing up the restoration of my Russian YC-9 (US-9)BC-348 copy. From what I have been able to research the original design was from 4 interned B-29s that landed in Russia while it was still neutral in WW II (hence the interned). The radios were copied and became the R-807 (ART-13) and the YC-9 (US-9). The BC-348 model copied was the R model supposedly and now for my question:
are the BC-348R and the BC-348H the same except for the contractor?
My problem is that i have one wire that is not connected and I would like to solder it back to where it belongs. I have James Moores excellent scan of the BC-348H and a somewhat less detailed one from BAMA for the R model in which i can't quite make out where that pesky wire goes.
Any help out there?
Cheers,
John WD5ENU/A45XV
