Depending on the weight of the items there is definitely a considerable difference in the class of mail.

So, I'm a newbie, so I'll ask. Why the concern for whether an item is Media Mail or not?  If I mail a bunch of paper back books, or video tape, or photos of my family, what is what? Is there a significant difference in fees? Or a handfull of QSL cards?
