As I mentioned in an earlier post, there is a lot of interchangeability
of AN/ARC-5 **receiver** components with equivalent ARA and the SCR-274-N
items.
A MT-65/ARC-5 3-receiver rack will work perfectly well in a SCR-274-N
system. It's actually harder to find than the FT-220-A, so you might
be able to trade and come out better. The MT-65 is wired identically
using the same connectors as the two earlier sets. Its only real
difference from ARA and SCR-274-N receiver racks is that it has the
capability to lock-wire the audio bus selector switches on the front
in either A or B position.
You haven't mentioned the shock mounts and mounting plates. Those are
typically more difficult to find than the racks or components that use
them. You'll need the FT-221-A, FT-222-A, FT-225-A, FT-227-A, FT-228-A,
FT-229-A shock mounts and mounting plates for a complete set. See
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARC-5 for a table that shows about every
component needed for a 3-receiver, 2-transmitter ARA/ATA, SCR-274-N,
or AN/ARC-5 set (except connectors).
