Group,

I have some of these but they are a couple of miles away and I'm hoping
someone here has one they can just walk a short distance to and answer my
question. On the rear face of the BC-620 and BC-659 cabinet is a box to which
the antenna can be connected. The original box is open backed and houses an
insulated metal block with a long screw through it. The nut on the end of
the screw (at top of block) is a long one which is a nut for the W-128 antenna
wire and also a socket into which the packset antenna can be screwed.
There are several later closed boxes that have a UHF coaxial connector and some
have impedance matching components inside. What I need to know (and I'll
write it down this time) is what is the size or diameter of the screw to which
the W-128 would be attached (if using it to connect to the antenna mast
base). I need to make up a connecting wire for an SCR-610 to send to an MV
collector and can't convince myself that I know what terminal size to put on
the radio end.
