[Milsurplus] AN/ARC-38 Manual Questions

I have been working on an AN/ARC-38, and had it on the
air on the east cost military radio net this morning. There
was another gentleman with an ARC-38 on, but propagation
didn't allow us to talk directly to each other.

I am investigating trying to de-modify the control head from the
SSB C-3428 back into the AM C-1398 head. But the manual
I have is a little sketchy on some of the details concerning the
head, and unless I am missing something(entirely possible)
seems to have an error in the CW and Phone switching circuit.

The manual I have is NAVAIR 16-30ARC38-502.

Does anyone have any other manuals for the AN/ARC-38 or
-38A besides that one? I'm especially looking for a schematic
and/or wiring diagram of either or both control heads.

One thing I've discovered. Most if not all the C-3428 heads
were converted from the C-1398 head for AM, and the front
panel markings were changed by means of an thin overlay. It
is possible to remove this overlay with no damage to the
underlying plastic by picking at it with a fingernail. It comes off
in little chunks.
