[Milsurplus] Use of N.A.F.68304 Beam Filter documentation

Greetings All,
 Curious if anyone has photo documentation or other "supplied equipment" lists indicating installation of subject filter in specific aircraft.My guess is that it was installed in every navy aircraft of WWII and probably through the Korean War and later that had a receiver but that's a big mouthful.
 I've seen the Army's FL-8 in many photoes, but not the N.A.S.68304. And is there a "history" of this item? Mike H.,Dave S.,Mike M.,Robert D. will chime in I'm sure!
