I've been there but not to the non-public warehouse. Based on your description, it is highly likely I would have spent far more money if I had known about it. I don't often get the chance to be out there but how does one get access to the other areas?
Another place I go to not far from there is Norton where I get high pressure hoses, fittings, valves and other aerospace stuff.

I spent hours last Saturday going through Apex Electronics in Sun Valley, CA
(near Burbank). I spent at least 2 hours in very large warehouse that is not
open to the public in addition to the "store" and the yard. These pictures
represent about 75% of what he has. One of the containers in the yard is
completely full of radio gear. I have seen it, but did not have time to take
pictures. This place is really amazing - over 100,000 sq feet of "stuff".

They have a website at www.apexelectronic.com
