Wow, thanks for the link! That’s a great example of Ham radio modification and adoption of military surplus. Will think about bidding just to get it and rebuild and keep around the shop, unlike many on this list myself am more interested in the adaptation and use of equipment in the forties and fifties by the Ham radio community then the limited time it may have been used in military service and is rare to see such a good example. Unlike many of the hack jobs on ARC-5 and ARB receivers I have seen that one looked nice and may be comparable to the HRB receivers of the forties and fifties. Maybe not as selective as the HRB but would have more coverage.

Someone broke down a Navy ARB receiver and completely rebuilt it on a new chassis with AC supply and National dial.  No relation to seller, etc.  Mike, W6MAB
