Sob...no one reads my web pages any more... :'(   For the SCR-183 and 
-283 sets there is quite a bit of latitude.  I showed one example of 
this on the SCR-AE-183 page at  
http://aafradio.org/flightdeck/1935/SCR-AE-183.html but I am discovering 
that custom junction boxes were more common than not in the airframes 
I've had the privilege of viewing.
