All -

I have mocked up the HV power supply using a push-in breadboard. This
was fun to build. I feel that I have not thought
all angles.

1. Limit the amount of added Heat to the BC-348 cabinet; Keep the
control components in the 1/2 watt range or less.
2. Adjust the voltage to a desired level.
3. provide over current protection.

I have run in free air for an hour or so using a power resistors for a
load; no problems. Knock on wood....
I noted as i watched the scope a bit of bounce +-10 mv during warmup and
form time to time could be due to component heating? or the push-in
bread board connections? or the circuit ? or the actual line voltage
bouncing around?

With the power off I see about 50mV noise voltage on my scope on the HV
output.
With power applied I see about 100~150MV, some times the bounce, of
noise voltage on my scope on the HV output.

I measured the temperature in the stock BC-348 enclosure 113 Deg F....
using similar power supply using a conventional C-L-C circuit.

Plan to break into the Smashed Face BC-348 Q tonight while running this
for a few hours looking for smoke.

Hutch
