[Milsurplus] FAA FA6259 filter

I have an interesting preselector made for the FAA, part number FA 6259.
Google leads me to believe that this was made by ITT under part 
number 2097118G1.
Google gives no other useful information.
This is a three section filter.
Each filter section is tuned with a micrometer dial.
The input and output connectors are type-N.
The filter sections are 3-3/8" deep and 1-7/8" square.
The probe that goes into the filter cavity is 0.5" diameter.
The aperture between the filter sections are 3/4" wide and 2-1/4 " long.
The probes in each filter section is approximately 1-5/32" from the 
end of the filter.

What frequency would this filter be for??

Any help appreciated.
