[Milsurplus] bc-348-q with a smashed face - ?

Hello group -

I picked up a bc-348-q with dynamotor knowing it was a bit beaten up.  
Man this has a smashed face, the worm gear that drives the tuning cap 
round gear does not even touch.  But the dial glass was not broken!  I 
think this can be restored.
Right off the bat; I figure the gear train it Ka-put, bent, since it is 
real hard to turn the tuning knob.  I believe from inspection that the  
front panel can be flattened out.   Any input from those that had to 
deal with this problem and came up some solutions would be well 
received.  Below are links to the first and last pictures on 
photobucket.  I am not going to part this out.  Need a bc-348-Q dial 
assembly for starters.
