[Milsurplus] Low Band VHF between ships

The 20206 is a vibrator supply but it runs off of 115 VAC/VDC. No
batteries. If they were having problems with battery stocks it must have been the
dry batteries. The 20206 would have solved the battery problems but the
manual is dated 07/14/44 and I've never seen any indication of when the hardware
actually became available.

There was another alternate to the TBS called the MBF (same 60-80 MC
coverage). But the only manual I've seen is dated 06/13/45. Reading between some
lines in the manual it appears to have been a replacement for the TBY on
merchant shipping. But too late to have seen much if any service before VJ
Day.
