[Milsurplus] RT-524

Hello

Anyone have any experience with a RT-524 ?

I have a few questions I need to have answered before I dive into this
thing, For one thing as soon as power is applied it appears to go into
transmit with the fan running. Just wondering if anyone on here has any
experience with these things. I will say that they are really heavy for a 30
watt 6 meter radio. I mean HEAVY. Of course when I picked this up in Gilbert
last fall it did work. Was wondering about some type of VOX or something.
