Thanks for the 618T info, Dave.
I have found reference over the years to these 618T models:
1. 618T-1 through -6, and
2. 618T-1B through -6B.
It's the -4/-4B through -6/-6B details that are mysterious. I think,
but have nothing to back it up, that the "B" designation sets could
be tuned in 0.1 kHz steps instead of the standard 1.0 kHz step.
AFAIK, the 618T was made from 1959 through 1982, giving it an extraordinary
product lifetime in which it became one of the most commonly used aircraft
HF sets worldwide, military and civil, in history. I'm pretty sure some are
still flying today, since it is often found in the equipment listing for
upscale used aircraft sales. It's a beautiful set whose design is more than
a half-century old.
I have almost everything needed for an AN/ARC-102 (618T-3) with CU-991/AR
(180L-2) coupler except the very hard to find mount/inverter PP-3702/ARC-102
(390J-2).
