If you have something like a T-17 with a rotten cord,
look around for some good-quality, black CAT-5 
or CAT-6 network cable.  If you find some with a 
decently thick jacket, it looks acceptable to a 
"display" audience once you remove or blacken
any lettering.  Ya'll might pick on me-
you're a tough crowd.  The right CAT-5 looks better 
to me than AC power cords- isn't as "shiney."
