Joe,

First, your string should be something like TV-7/U....TV-7B/U + TV-7D/U, as
that's the model range. I heard a rumour once that a few TV-7C/U were
built but never saw what I would consider valid confirmation.

Why do you ask? From a user's standpoint, the answer is basically "none".
I have been using a TV-7/U for more than 20 years and never found any
reason to wish I had a later model. It worked fine when I bought it in 1990 and
was still working last week. I think someone once said that the D had some
ferrite beads added to a few leads but I never had any parasitic
oscillations occur with any tubes I've tested with the base model. Otherwise, they
were built by several different contractors and there are a few minor
mechanical differences because of that.

I have the Long Number manual set available as reprints (individually or as
a group) and have a couple of extra originals of the first Short Number
manual from 1953. Or if all you need is schematics, I would sell the Long
Number schematic pack by itself.
