and yea.... the steel bands on mine seem to have shrunk also...seems to be  
a common class problem of this unit!

someday when we get some more   maiquens  we can display this properly on 
leg rather  than on  shelf.

KY-116/U (JAN nomenclature).

The J-38 was only a Morse training key, never used  in actual  in-service
radio installations.  The J-37 is  correct.  A J-37 is  part of both keys
noted above.

These  keys show up fairly commonly on  ebay and at hamfests.
