Technically, both of the ones Bob posted the item numbers of are either
J-40's, J-45's or KY-116/U's, but incomplete. Although the leg iron of one may
have originally been stenciled "J-45", which lets out the J-40 for it. All
three key types consist of a J-37 key, a leg band with hinged mounting
plate (band assembly has no nomenclature), and a cord terminated in a
two-circuit 1/4" diameter plug. The cord on the J-40 c/o 60" of CO-79 and a PL-5
plug. The cord on the J-45 is CD-201 or CD-201-A (which c/o 60" of CO-79 plus a
PL-55 plug). The cord on the KY-116/U is a CO-201-A with the CD-201-A band
replaced by one that has KY-116/U stamped on it and in some cases the black
plastic PL-55 sleeve replaced by one marked PJ-055B.
Anyway, one of the two still has the cord mounting bracket attached, and
would be the better one to buy. The cord can be made. The bracket would be
more difficult. The chopped off cord in the bracket may also have the
KY-116/U band on it or the seller probably wouldn't have known to mention that
nomenclature.
And Mac, I think my leg bands have shrunk, too. :-) Who'd've thought that
steel would do that?
