Yes. That's right. Thoriated tungsten filaments got on the radioactive list a 
while back, hi! Good for emission, hi. I read recently that Thorium is hard to 
get rid of i.e. dispose of safely as a byproduct of mining other minerals like 
the rare earths that are currently in the news in the flap between China and 
Japan. Well, you politicians: we need to make more vacuum tubes. That'll get my 
vote and promote the world's suppy of JAN tubes!

Ran into a warning like that on some JAN 811A tubes a while ago.  
Something to do with the thorium in the filaments maybe?
