[Milsurplus] TRC-77 Battery Box Needed

My first TRC-77 was purchased at an estate sale not far from me about 15 or
so years ago. This was not a radio collectors estate, just a fellow's who
collected everything relatively neat. Regardless, the TRC-77 was in an
original canvas bag, with manual, original power cable with alligator clips,
a key, headset, and, an extremely well made small wooden box housing 2 volt
lead/liquid-acid cells. I really wonder, since it was CW only, how practical
it was to carry it around in a backpack with a battery case. So, my take on
it is that it was used with an external power source the majority of times,
especially since there was an original connector with original clips that
came with it. More recently I did buy two other TRC-77s and they did have
battery boxes, but, as mentioned in the below post, these were home
fabricated, but, amazingly well done, and both of them are identical and
essentially look original and fit perfectly. 73 - Mike

Good luck on that, have seen several TRC-77 over the years and one battery
box and that was home built. Anyone have any idea what happened to them all?
Maybe there with all the battery boxes for the PRC-47?
