I went to the B-26.com website mentioned in a prior message and found some good info. The regulations concerning Dodge City AAF B-26 Pilot training was of most interest as i grew up in that area. The page telling what frequencies were monitored buy the tower (396) and the HF channels as well. Then there was the so called emergency alternate airfield north of DDC. Didn't know it existed but i will check out my aviation charts from the early 40's to see just where it was. Then on a trip back there i'll go check it, at least the general location out.
Going thru the English air stations that they talk about and have pictures of i found reference to H2S radar repair shops and showed the buildings at: http://www.wartime-airfields.com/id18.html
It's kind of neat to use Google Earth and cruise the English countryside looking for the old WWII stations. What history!
