Yea, but wasn't that in -1946-?  And that was true back then, I remember
many surplus outfits selling BC-645s and saying you could convert to "CB"
back in the late 40s and 50s. (the 450Mhz Class A band then)

Even today, truck stops are selling "10 meter 100W mobiles" that easily
convert to CB freqs or are already there, with a -little warning label-
about being illegal to use, har. Farmers and truckers use -Marine Band-
radios seemingly without fear of being caught.

Gads what with today's FRS, GMRS, and MURS radios being at almost a dime a
dozen, who would want to use old military gear for commercial applications?
If it is nostalgia, just take guts from a $14.99 FRS and stick it in the
battery box of WWII radio set, you have the 'green looks' with dependable
electronics.
