Thanks to everyone on the info on the BA-5590, but like most things the more you learn the less you know. The 5590 appear to be used in not only several radios but are also used to power laptop computers and things like the javelin Anti Armor Weapon system. It may be one of the widest used battery systems out there, but I now have a couple real stupid questions.
First is the BA a 30 volt system comprised of two independent 15 volt packs or a 24 volt system built around two 12 volt packs? Second what happens if it gets wet while there is still a charge? And third if I get one of these Lithium things can I just throw it out when it's dead? How dangerous is it?
