Some factoids. Don't know if this is already common knowledge, this is from
"Electronics", Dec. 1946.
OQ-19 Pilotless Target Aircraft: RC-57 superregen control receiver
Ground station: RC-56 transmitter a.m.; for training gunners firing from
gun turrets simulating those used in B-29, B-32 bombers. Normal range
3-4 miles. Five control channels; transmitter may be ground, vehicle, or
airborne.
PQ-14 Target Aircraft, to simulate strafing aircraft or high altitude
bombing.
ARW-1 10 channel FM receiver
ARW-18 FM transmitter for 18 controllable functions, installed in modified
Beechcraft C-45; co-pilot controls target plane with joystick and switches.
"Weary Willie" B-17 bomber no longer fit for combat duty; loaded with
20,000 lbs. of explosives; as crash bomb. Control receiver is modified
SCR-274N

Azon bomb, free fall vertical bomb with two fins controlled; CRW-2 control
receiver, 50-100 MHz
RC-186 transmitter, 2 audio channels.
Razon bomb; free falling bomb with both range and azimuth control.
CRW-7 4-channel audio system.
Roc, glide bomb developed near end of WW2; television system
Glomb, glide bomb, television system
Spazon, free falling bomb with spin feature for increased accuracy;
unsuccessful, abandoned.
Simultaneous bomb drop of all planes in squadron under control
of lead plane: Lead plane transmitter ARW-9 ( RC-186 modified );
controlled planes receiver, ARW-10 ( modified CRW-2 )
