Ordinary automotive brake fluid- not the premium silicone- can also be
tried. Soak smaller parts in it, and apply it thickly to other surfaces.
It takes longer to work, but aerosol spray paint tends to come off clean
in chunks and flakes with a little brushing from an old toothbrush or
equal. It works well on wrinkle finish, the spray paint will come off
without sticking in the wrinkles. Model railroaders use it extensively
to remove unwanted paint. Try it on a small area first. Bruce Gentry
