Hi Rod:
That "1800 Watt" system for over $2k has a single panel that's probably
rated below 100 Watts (at solar noon at the equator). You only get 1800
Watts for a few seconds from a small (maybe 7 AH) battery.
I got a free panel (actually a full system) and so far have not found an
application that makes economic sense.
