[Milsurplus] solar panels

Interesting topic.  Recent advertiser on the -Glenn Beck- show, (no I don't
watch him regularly, just -surfing- and saw it), 'hawking' a "solar power
generator". Is basically a solar panel, with controller, feeding a large
UPS.  Rated at 1800W.  You can check it out at their site
www.mysolarbackup.com  I got their DVD and literature out of curiosity.
Sort of humorous the way they promote it.  Am NOT getting one!  Be nice for
Field Day or Mil-Pack outing, but too much $$ for me.

I have a S-280 comm shelter I have mounted green radios in and I want use a
solar charger, does anyone have any panels for sale or a good source?? I am
looking for 24VDC to charge lead acid batteries?
new to solar systems so any help appreciated on battery types, regulators,
and panels
