Here is my take when this mod was done it probley was several years back.You 
could by something like this for 20-30 max and who cared it work and 
received and no one was really collecting this stuff so making it what you 
wanted was always done and it worked.That time in life you could by a Ws19 
complete in boxes and crates for 69.00 BC 654 from 8.dollars to 20-25 
dollars latter being new cheap one without tubes I know this I baught one I 
was just a kid.Arc 5 stuff new in boxes about 10.00 sometimes a little 
more.Used was 5 to 8.00.So thats why we have seen so much butchered up 
stuff.The worse I saw was here lately was a BC348 with all kinds of extra 
switches no data plate and get thi painted off white.Guy wanted a 
100.00Remember sign of the times
