I have recently acquired portions of DNC 6 Operator's Manual of 1939
(updated through change 5)
(at least that's what the cover to these two chapters implies - I am
not completely certain)
Anyway, if you ever want to use the proper operating procedures,
this'll keep you squared away.

The index and the pdf download are now posted at
http://www.navy-radio.com/manuals/dnc6-39.htm

Any and all clarifications and/or additions are welcome.
cheers,
Nick K4NYW
