Its that M factor that makes all the difference. I had to test trend lines
Xcel will help you with a trend line
trend line 1 where X = Frequency Y = dial settings:
y = 0.0282x + 115.89 R² = 0.9998
trend line 2 where X = Frequency Y = dial settings:
y = 3E-07x^2 + 0.0264x + 117.44 R² = 1
For the low band this one fit the calibration points better.
This formula was a bit more exact.
Trend line 3: where X = Frequency Y = dial settings:
y = 6E-05x^3 - 0.0466x^2 + 46.955x - 4968.8 R² = 1
I have good charts BUT:
Now how to print the dial calibration book from all this data from Xcel ?
I will have to go to night school Whew -
I also found a note on calibration of the crystal oscillator
